Twenty Years of Believing She Was Broken
Carrie is a licensed counsellor, mum, & business owner. She first noticed the pattern between ages 16 & 18. A therapist had pointed out the emotional cycle before she had a name for it. But knowing the pattern & changing it are different things. Twenty years passed between recognising something was wrong & actually getting it under control.
She helped other people through their hardest moments for a living. All while silently white-knuckling her own.

Three Weeks Out of Every Month
Carrie came in with a symptom burden score of 444. Three weeks a month. Moderate to severe. Her work. Her marriage. Her parenting. All of it was being eaten by symptoms she'd been told to manage, not resolve.

After Christmas 2024, Carrie & her husband talked about expanding their family. He told her he didn't think their marriage, or her health, could handle another pregnancy because of her PMDD.
That moment broke something open in her.
