Fifteen Years of Symptoms. A Decade of Surviving.

Kate is a 28-year-old remote project coordinator from the United States. She'd been living with PMDD symptoms since she was 13 years old. For fifteen years, she spent roughly two weeks of every single month in bed. She got a formal identification in her early twenties, but by then the pattern had already taken years from her.

In July 2024, Kate had one of her worst episodes. Thoughts of self-harm became so intense she scared herself. Her partner found her in bed in the middle of the day, unable to move. He told her he was genuinely worried about losing her.
